Reviews
The good: Best central location. Great meeting place. Great breakfast. Trendy feeling.
The bad: Mini sized rooms without windows. No toiletries like skin lotion. No gym. Bathroom tends to get wet after showers
Verdict. Best place if you only stay a night. Longer than that you need more space and amenities
The good- clean rooms, nice simple decor, really comfy beds, free coffee and tea day and night, a lot of friendly staff, breakfast is ok but a bit more variety would be good as after a week I was a bit fed up with it, great location, table tennis and games cabinet for guests, lots of fun artwork on walls and floors, not many toiletries but what is there is good, decent price.
The bad- the ventilation in the rooms is really poor, cannot set room temp lower than 18 degrees, both my son and I had horribly dry throats throughout stay, especially in the mornings which went away when we got back home, no windows as rooms are underground, not enough storage in rooms- they desperately need a couple of drawers under the bed, housekeeping was really hit and miss and they need to be more attentive, no bin in room apart from tiny one in bathroom, some staff aren’t as friendly as others, a few were outright rude, cleaning/ cleanup of communal areas could be better (glasses, plates, food isn’t regularly cleared from tables, tables and seating isn’t cleaned enough etc) loud children were running around literally screaming past midnight in the communal area one night whilst we were trying to have a quiet chat and staff did nothing, the same the next morning, no hand sanitiser in buffet area, no privacy in bathroom when someone is in the room as there’s only a translucent screen separating the two, communal bathrooms need to be attended to more regularly.
All in all a pleasant stay but more attentive staffing would’ve made it better. The poor room ventilation alone means I wouldn’t stay again though.
This hotel is steps away from the metro and a 10 minute walk from downtown. The breakfast is great, the staff are friendly and there is is a wonderful bar with a relaxed and chilled yet lively and inviting ambiance. The rooms are small and there are no windows but if you’re just sleeping there then it’s the perfect hotel in Stockholm.
Stayed and had dinner here. Well located near a metro station and a 10 min walk from the central station. Rooms are underground which was novel and may not be for everyone. Rooms were clean, though they could be a tad bigger. Wifi isn't an issue. Breakfast obviously has lots of deli stuff, not as many hot food options.
It has a great vibe though, with a restaurant and lobby area. The restaurant was popping and the food was really good. The celeriac root was amazing. In the lobby area, they host board games once a month on a thursday, which was a random but nice experience.
I'd stay here again.
Positive:
- Great location
- The fact that there is a supermarket, a restaurant, a bar, a coworking and coliving area in the building is beautiful, this definitely adds a big plus to the stay and makes the fact that the rooms are windowless and small less burdensome, in short it is a beautiful idea and a beautiful environment
- The bed is very comfortable
- Very large smart TV with Netflix and Chromecast
- In general the rooms are small but have everything, everything is new and works well, such as the shower, the TV, the lights
Negative:
- The rooms are windowless, and generally very small
- Although I was alone in the bed, the blanket was split in two, which was very uncomfortable
- A few times my room was not cleaned without any reason
- I had a hard time dealing with the fact that there was no heating... let me explain: if I slept without a blanket it was cold, but if I put the blanket on instead, being very heavy, I was sometimes hot, and the fact that I couldn't regulate the temperature made it uncomfortable at times
- Honestly I would have expected more from the staff, they didn't seem very kind, moreover when I arrived I had to wait 20 minutes outside the hotel to understand how to get in, as there was no one inside and the door didn't open, when I checked in the staff seemed very annoyed
Cool hotel in great location, across the street from the subway. Location where Olaf Palme was assassinated. Good food options in the Deli. Rooftop bar is also good for a drink
such an amazing hotel. the reception was really interesting and it was lovely. breakfast was really good and fresh, love the way they serve fresh coffee and smoothies. rooms were quite fine. also really interesting. i just wish there was a table and windows. the rooms were underground. unfortunately, the big balcony that has a great view was closed because of midsommer. a bad time to travel i guess! the receptionist Vasilis and the Albanian guy (we forgot to ask his name:) was really nice to us. helpful and funny people. overall really nice hotel, would recommend!!
Sorry, it was (much) better before. I can't recommend this hotel due to several factors:
1) It wasn't clean; Vomit(?) in the hallway for days (see pictures. They covered it up by holding a door open over it), dirty toilet floor all evening and still longer. There was also dirty in the room for the guests before the rooms. Also, several of the toilets' flushing buttons was missing. They are also easy to replace.
2) Hallway and the room: The room had frosted glass walls and a glass door without any lock. It was semi-transparent which have a lack of privacy. Also there was cm wide slits between the door and walls, which made it fully visible to see right in and also to hear the sounds from the toilet.
The room is under ground, which is a good solution but they are small and boring. The bed lamps on each side lights up the entire room and if one wants to have one lit, it will definitely effect the other person if that person is not wearing a sleeping mask.
And the beds were very hard. We don't often complain about this, but I'm this case the average bed is much more comfortable.
3) Breakfast was highly recommend before but now it's rather average what you get in the city. There are better and cheaper alternatives nearby. However, it isn't bad and I did enjoy the unique ran stew, walnuts, chia pudding, overnight oats, and great coffee. Cappuccino is extra charge.
4) Price: Sorry, for this price, I expected something much better. Although it wasn't over the top, it still wasn't price-worthy.
This was a place that need much more improvements before I want to stay over again.
